Refund Policy
Last updated: 27 July 2026
We would rather refund you than have you stuck with software that does not suit you. This policy sits alongside your statutory rights, which it does not replace or reduce.
The short version
30 days, no questions asked. Email support@contess.app from the address you bought with, and we will refund you in full.
1. How to ask
Email support@contess.app within 30 days of purchase. Include the email address used at checkout, or the order reference from your receipt. You do not have to explain why, though if something is broken we would like to know so we can fix it.
2. How you get the money back
Refunds are issued by Paddle, our merchant of record, to the original payment method. We approve it; Paddle processes it. Paddle typically completes a refund within a few business days, and how quickly it appears then depends on your bank or card issuer.
You will be refunded the full amount you paid, including the VAT Paddle collected.
3. What happens to your licence
Your licence key stops being valid when the refund is issued, and you should remove the application from your Macs. Any history the app recorded is on your own machine and stays there; we cannot reach it and do not want it.
4. Please check the requirements before buying
The most common reason for a refund is a requirement that was not met, so they are worth reading twice. ConTess needs macOS 14 or later on Apple silicon, a Fleet-API-capable Tesla, a free Tesla developer account you create yourself, and a web address you control for a small verification file. All of that is listed on the pricing page and in the terms.
If any of it turns out to be a problem after you have paid, that is squarely within the 30 days. Ask for a refund.
5. Your statutory rights
As a consumer in the EU you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from a distance contract. For digital content delivered immediately, that right is lost once delivery begins if you consented to immediate delivery and acknowledged losing the right, which is what the checkout asks you to confirm.
Our 30-day policy is deliberately more generous than that, and applies regardless. You also keep your statutory remedies if the software is faulty or not as described, and those are not limited to 30 days.
6. Repeat purchases
We may decline a refund where the same person has repeatedly bought and refunded the same product. That is the only exception, and we will say so plainly if it applies.
7. Chargebacks
Please email us before raising a chargeback with your bank. A chargeback costs us a fee and takes considerably longer for you than simply asking.
