No app subscription · No servers · You own the data

Servers of ours between you and your car. ConTess uses your own Tesla developer credentials, and signs every command on your Mac.

24/7

A background logger records trips and charges whenever your Mac is awake, app open or not, and never wakes the car to do it.

One-time purchase. You own the app, the data and the connection.

Private by design

Private by design.
Built for Tesla owners.

Most third-party Tesla apps route your credentials and vehicle data through servers they own and charge you monthly for the privilege. ConTess doesn't have servers.

Your tokens stay on your Mac and every command is signed on your machine with a key only this Mac holds. ConTess then talks to Tesla's own API using your own developer credentials, so the only company in the path is Tesla, and there is no account, no subscription and no server of ours in between.

  • Credentials never leave your Mac
  • Commands signed locally with your own key
  • No ConTess account, because there is no ConTess server

Smart polling

ConTess backs off when the car is asleep, so a complete history doesn't cost you range.

Real costs

What did that drive actually cost you?

Enter your own electricity price and ConTess calculates every trip and every charging session in your currency. Roll it up by day, month or year, or export as CSV.

Per-trip cost

Distance, energy, efficiency and price for each drive.

Phantom drain

See what the car uses while it just sits there.

Named locations

Start and parking places, not raw coordinates.

Day / night tariffs

Charging costed at the rate it actually happened on.

History view: monthly totals, a distance chart, recorded trips and recent charges.
Charging

Every session,
down to the amp.

Set the charge limit and current, start or stop a session, pop the port. Watch live power, voltage, grid frequency and energy added, broken down by day, month or year and priced in your currency.

Your Wall Connector, on your network

Point ConTess at your Tesla Wall Connector's address on your home network and it reads the charger directly. Nothing goes through Tesla or through us to get there.

Live from the charger itself

Power, voltage, current and grid frequency as the session runs, taken from the unit rather than estimated from the car.

Lifetime totals

Every kWh the charger has ever delivered, split by day, month and year, and costed at your own tariff.

Energy breakdown by day, month and year, showing charged versus used energy.
Battery health

Keep an eye on
battery health.

Estimated range at 100%, usable capacity and degradation against the original figure, tracked over time, next to vehicle details, tyre pressures, software version and your car's live position.

Nothing gets lost

A background logger keeps recording trips and charges while the app is closed. If the Mac was off, the app tells you so and still accounts for the distance.

Safety first

Openings and window commands grey out while the vehicle is in motion. No accidental frunk at 90 km/h.

Your data, exportable

Everything lives in a local file you can export to CSV at any time. Leave whenever you like.

You own it.

One purchase, no subscription, no vendor lock-in. You have full control over the connection between your Mac and your Tesla.
